How does a local energy source for businesses work?

A local energy source (between 10.8–99.9 kW) is a photovoltaic power plant connected directly to the consumer. It generates electricity directly at the point of consumption. The produced energy is immediately used within the facility.

Surplus energy can be:

  • fed into the distribution grid (stored or used at another consumption point),
  • stored in a local battery storage system,
  • or used to power other devices, such as electric vehicle charging.
